MOUNT ABU BIRDS MY PERSONAL COLLECTION

I will use this available blog site to share my many photographs of wild birds. Most of my photos are from my Abu collection. I have a collection of bird pictures taken on the diverse trips I have done around India. I’m an amateur photographer and my earlier pictures have been captured by point-and-shoot cameras. I cannot manage the sophisticated cameras operated by professional birders, but I’m sure you will acknowledge my creation and passion for birding with my latest Canon 550D. There are many of my erstwhile attempts at Abu birds, which are not up to the mark, but there are decent to chronicle a sighting or to aid in identification.
It’s my endeavour to secure as many bird species that prevail today in Mt.Abu. Over the years, I have observed quite a few species that flourished in Abu are now no more. For example, the Egyptian Eagle, and the Indian vulture, have withdrawn from this place. I have been photographing birds over the years and desire to chronicle as precisely as the major birders who took the time and perseverance to record the birds of Aboo.

Over the years, I have been able to photograph 147 species of birds seen on Mount Abu. I have yet to snap a few more species that are endemic to this place. I have seen the Grey Hornbill, the Indian Nightjar, the Grey Junglefowl and the elusive Barn Owl. If I happen to chance on them, I'll post them here.
